The Hawley Bearcats football team (Hawley, TX), was beaten 34-12 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Jim Ned Indians (Tuscola, TX)

The Indians (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Holliday (Holliday, TX). The Eagles come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Holliday knocked off Iowa Park (Iowa Park, TX), 18-7, in a non-league challenge.

The Bearcats now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Roosevelt for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 1. Hawley will meet a Eagles team coming off a 42-6 non-league win over River Road (Amarillo, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 1-0.
