Putnam City Pirates (Oklahoma City, OK) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Midwest City Bombers (Midwest City, OK), 4-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now sport a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Putnam City North for a 6A District 2 challenge on Thursday, August 31.

With the loss, Midwest City falls to 4-7 on the campaign. The Bombers host Jenks (Jenks, OK) to face the Trojans in a non-league challenge on Monday, August 28. The Trojans enter the challenge with a record of 4-5. Jenks lost 7-1 in their recent league challenge against Mustang (Mustang, OK)
