Weleetka Outlaws (Weleetka, OK) backers exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Porter Pirates (Porter, OK), 11-9 in a league challenge.
The Outlaws now own a 8-6 record. They take the field next when they host Depew for a Class A challenge on Tuesday, August 29. Weleetka will battle a Hornets squad coming off a 13-1 non-league win over Meeker (Meeker, OK). The Hornets record now stands at 10-6.
With the loss, Porter falls to 8-9 on the campaign. The Pirates host Mason (Mason, OK) to battle the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, August 28. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 5-3.
