Letcher County Central Cougars (Whitesburg, KY) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Harlan County Black Bears (Harlan, KY), 11-3 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, Letcher County Central moves its record to 3-2 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Perry County Central (Hazard, KY) to clash with the Commodores in a District 53 test on Thursday, August 28. The Commodores come into the test with a record of 2-1. Perry County Central won 5-1 in their recent non-league test against Pikeville (Pikeville, KY)

The Black Bears now sport a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Bell County for a District 50 test on Tuesday, August 26. Harlan County will confront a Bobcats squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Middlesboro (Middlesboro, KY). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-2.
