With the win, Leslie County improves its record to 9-0 on the season. The Eagles travel to Johnson Central (Paintsville, KY) to encounter the Golden Eagles in a non-league battle on Saturday, August 30. The Golden Eagles go into the battle with a record of 3-2.

The Wildcats now own a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Morgan County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, August 26. Buckhorn will battle a Cougars team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Lee County (Beattyville, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 1-4.
