Colorado High School Softball - Gunnison bounces Alamosa

August 26, 2021: Gunnison, CO 81230

Gunnison Cowboys (Gunnison, CO) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Alamosa Mean Moose (Alamosa, CO), 16-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Cowboys now own a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Basalt for a 3A Western Slope challenge on Saturday, August 28. Gunnison will battle a Longhorns squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Eagle Valley (Gypsum, CO). The Longhorns record now stands at 2-4.

With the loss, Alamosa falls to 2-3 on the campaign. The Mean moose host James Irwin (Colorado Springs, CO) to battle the Jaguars in a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 2. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 0-1.
