The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Piute Thunderbirds (Junction, UT) and the visiting Beaver Beavers (Beaver, UT), saw Piute's volleyball squad beat Beaver by a tally of 3-1.

With the win, Piute upgrades its record to 3-0 on the year. The Thunderbirds host Milford (Milford, UT) to play the Tigers in a 1A Region 20 bout on Wednesday, September 1. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Milford won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Diamond Ranch Academy (Hurricane, UT)

The Beavers now own a 0-3 record. They play next when they travel to Monticello for a non-league bout on Friday, August 27. Beaver will play a Buckaroo squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Montezuma-Cortez (Cortez, CO). The Buckaroo record now stands at 0-3.
