With the win, Mayfield upgrades its record to 1-0 on the year. The Cubs travel to Monrovia (Monrovia, CA) to play the Wildcats in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 30. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 2-2. Monrovia won 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Schurr (Montebello, CA)

The Tigers now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Rio Hondo Prep for a bout on Tuesday, August 30. Westridge will play a Kares squad coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Aquinas (San Bernardino, CA). The Kares record now stands at 0-1.
