Shining Light Baptist Academy Sharks (Monroe, NC) fans were thrilled Friday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Old Suwanee Christian Conquerors (Buford, GA), 1-0 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Sharks face the Matthews Christian Academy Colts (Matthews, NC) in a NCCSA A District 2 - West Region challenge, on Tuesday, September 6. Shining Light Baptist Academy will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record.

The Conquerors now have a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Covenant Christian Academy for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, August 30. Old Suwanee Christian will face a Rams team coming off a 8-0 league loss to Oakwood Christian (Chickamauga, GA). The Rams record now stands at 0-4.
