The Fairland Owls softball team scored 10 runs and limited the visiting Kansas Comets to 1 in the Owls non-league triumph on Friday.

With the triumph, Fairland improves its record to 4-3 on the year. The Owls travel to Wyandotte (Wyandotte, OK) to clash with the Bears in a 2A game on Saturday, September 3. The Bears come into the game with a record of 2-1.

In their next game, the Comets clash with the Sperry Pirates (Sperry, OK) in a 3A game, on Tuesday, August 30. Kansas will attempt to improve on its 4-5 season record. The Pirates come into the game with a 1-1 record after their 7-2 non-league loss to Bristow (Bristow, OK).
