The Hillcrest Panthers held off the host South Oak Cliff Bears volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Friday's league test.

The Panthers now have a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Sunset for a 5A Region II District 11 test on Tuesday, August 30. Hillcrest will confront a Bison team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Newman International Academy (Cedar Hill, TX). The Bison record now stands at 2-9.

The Bears (1-7) will now prepare for their test against North Garland (Garland, TX). The Raiders enter the non-league test with a 4-6 record. In their last test, North Garland held off Wilmer-Hutchins (Dallas, TX), 2-0, in a non-league test.
