The Spartans come into the contest with a 1-1 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to George C. Marshall (Falls Church, VA).

With the loss, Alexandria City drops to 0-2 on the campaign. The Titans host Fairfax (Fairfax, VA) to battle the Lions in a Patriot challenge on Monday, August 28. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Fairfax lost 3-1 in their recent non-league challenge against South Lakes (Reston, VA)
