Texas High School Volleyball - Grulla tips Raymondville

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Grulla Gators (Rio Grande City, TX) and the host Raymondville Bearkats (Raymondville, TX), saw Grulla's volleyball squad nip Raymondville by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Grulla upgrades its record to 9-5 on the year. The Gators host Jubilee (San Antonio, TX) to play the Lions in a non-league bout on Saturday, August 26. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 0-0.

The Bearkats now own a 0-7 record. They play next when they host Hidalgo for a 4A Region IV District 32 bout on Saturday, September 2. Raymondville will play a Pirates squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North (Pharr, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 3-7.
