The Pirates (5-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Nederland (Nederland, TX). The Bulldogs enter the non-league challenge with a 16-11 record. In their last challenge, Nederland was nudged by Port Neches-Groves (Port Neches, TX), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Longhorns encounter the Silsbee Tigers (Silsbee, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, September 1. Hamshire-Fannett will attempt to move on its 6-7 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 11-11 record after their 2-0 non-league win over New Caney (New Caney, TX).
