The Pirates now have a 6-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Woodsboro for a non-league game on Saturday, August 26. Mathis will meet a Eagles team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Annapolis Christian Academy (Corpus Christi, TX). The Eagles record now stands at 2-7.

The Owls (0-11) will now prepare for their game against Skidmore-Tynan (Skidmore, TX). The Bobcats enter the non-league game with a 17-5 record. In their last game, Skidmore-Tynan gained a win over Alice (Alice, TX), 3-0, in a non-league game.
