Texas High School Volleyball - Mount Vernon tips Wolfe City

August 26, 2023: Mount Vernon, TX 75457

The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Mount Vernon Tigers (Mount Vernon, TX) and the visiting Wolfe City Wolves (Wolfe City, TX), saw Mount Vernon's volleyball squad nip Wolfe City by a tally of 2-1.

With the win, Mount Vernon upgrades its record to 6-8 on the year. The Tigers travel to Hooks (Hooks, TX) to play the Hornets in a non-league bout on Tuesday, August 29. The Hornets go into the bout with a record of 18-5. Hooks won 2-1 in their recent non-league match against Hughes Springs (Hughes Springs, TX)

With the loss, Wolfe City drops to 9-6 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to Sulphur Bluff (Sulphur Bluff, TX) to clash with the Bears in a non-league match on Tuesday, August 29.
