Mississippi High School Volleyball - Pine Grove can't hold off South Pontotoc

In Saturday's non-league battle, the host South Pontotoc Cougars volleyball team scored a tight 2-1 triumph over the Pine Grove Panthers.
The Cougars (4-6) will now prepare for their battle against Caledonia (Caledonia, MS). The Cavaliers come into the non-league battle with a 10-4 record. In their last battle, Caledonia was edged by Lafayette (Oxford, MS), 2-0, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Panthers encounter the West Union Eagles (Myrtle, MS) in a non-league battle, on Monday, August 28. Pine Grove will attempt to move on its 4-10 season record. The Eagles come into the battle with a 3-9 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to New Albany (New Albany, MS).
