Fans at Monday's league battle between the Sunrise Mountain Miners (Las Vegas, NV) and the visiting Mojave Rattlers (North Las Vegas, NV), saw Sunrise Mountain's soccer squad hold off Mojave by a count of 1-0.

The Miners (1-0) will now prepare for their battle against Chaparral (Las Vegas, NV). The Cowboys enter the battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Chaparral was edged by Boulder City (Boulder City, NV), 3-2, in a non-league battle.

Next up, the Rattlers battle the Pahrump Valley Trojans (Pahrump, NV) in a non-league battle, on Wednesday, August 28. Mojave will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Trojans enter the battle with a 1-0 record after their 3-0 league win over Sports Leadership & Management (Henderson, NV).
