The Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC) soccer overwhelmed the visiting St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC), 5-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Cougars now hold a 3-1 record. They play next when they host East Henderson for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, September 3. Asheville will face a Eagles team coming off a 2-2 non-league Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Eagles record now stands at 3-0.
The Indians (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC). The Pride enter the non-league game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, Pine Lake Prep held off Newton-Conover (Newton, NC), 2-1, in a non-league game.
