With the win, Mayfield advances its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Hickman County (Clinton, KY) to face the Falcons in a non-league test on Thursday, September 12. The Falcons go into the test with a record of 0-0.

The Comets now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Mary for a non-league test on Tuesday, August 27.
