Fans at Monday's league battle between the Robinson Bulldogs (Concord, NC) and the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), saw Robinson's soccer squad hold off Carson by a count of 2-1.

The Bulldogs (3-1) will now prepare for their battle against Concord (Concord, NC). The Spiders enter the South Piedmont 3A battle with a 5-0 record. In their last battle, Concord tipped West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC), 2-0, in a league battle.

Next up, the Cougars battle the North Rowan Cavaliers (Spencer, NC) in a non-league battle, on Thursday, August 29. Carson will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record. The Cavaliers enter the battle with a 1-1 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC).
