The Glascock County Panthers triumphed over the visiting Briarwood Academy Buccaneers softball squad by a count of 8-1 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Jefferson County Warriors (Louisville, GA) in a non-league challenge, on Wednesday, August 28. Glascock County will attempt to upgrade on its 7-3 season record. The Warriors enter the challenge with a 0-5 record after their 12-0 league loss to Bleckley County (Cochran, GA).

The Buccaneers (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Edmund Burke Academy (Waynesboro, GA). The Spartans enter the GIAA Class A & AA District 4 challenge with a 5-2 record. In their last challenge, Edmund Burke Academy edged Georgia School for Innovation & Classics (Hephzibah, GA), 6-4, in a non-league challenge.
