The Emanuel County Institute Bulldogs overwhelmed the host Toombs County Bulldogs softball squad by a count of 7-2 in Monday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Bulldogs meet the Portal Panthers (Portal, GA) in a 1A D-II Region 3 challenge, on Tuesday, August 27. Emanuel County Institute will attempt to upgrade on its 7-7 season record. The Panthers go into the challenge with a 2-2 record after their 12-11 league win over Jenkins County (Millen, GA).

The Bulldogs (7-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Vidalia (Vidalia, GA). The Indians go into the 1A D-I Region 3 challenge with a 4-6 record. In their last challenge, Vidalia held off Swainsboro (Swainsboro, GA), 12-0, in a league challenge.
