The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Kearney Bearcats (Kearney, NE) and the host North Platte Bulldogs (North Platte, NE), observed Kearney's softball team notch a victory over North Platte by a tally of 15-6.

The Bearcats (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Lincoln Northeast (Lincoln, NE). The Rockets go into the A District bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Lincoln Northeast gained a win over Fremont (Fremont, NE), 7-5, in a league bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Cozad Haymakers (Cozad, NE) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, August 27. North Platte will attempt to advance on its 0-2 season record. The Haymakers go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 9-3 non-league loss to York (York, NE).
