The Perry Panthers softball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Northside Eagles to 2 in the Panthers non-league win on Monday.

The Panthers now possess a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ware County for a 4A Region 1 battle on Tuesday, August 27. Perry will confront a Gators team coming off a 10-7 non-league loss to Camden County (Kingsland, GA). The Gators record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Northside moves to 2-10 on the season. The Eagles host Lee County (Leesburg, GA) to confront the Trojans in a 5A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, August 27. The Trojans come into the battle with a record of 4-4. Lee County lost 17-14 in their recent league battle against Houston County (Warner Robins, GA)
