The Ridgeland Panthers triumphed over the visiting Northwest Whitfield Bruins softball squad by a count of 13-1 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Panthers meet the Adairsville Tigers (Adairsville, GA) in a 3A Region 7 challenge, on Tuesday, August 27. Ridgeland will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 9-5 record after their 11-1 non-league win over Southeast Whitfield County (Dalton, GA).

The Bruins (3-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Calhoun (Calhoun, GA). The Yellow Jackets enter the 3A Region 7 challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Calhoun was routed by LaFayette (LaFayette, GA), 10-2, in a league challenge.
