In Monday's non-league challenge, the visiting Lone Tree Lions volleyball team scored a close 2-1 triumph over the Keota Eagles.

The Lions (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Columbus (Columbus Junction, IA). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Columbus was nudged by Notre Dame (Burlington, IA), 2-0, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Eagles meet the Pekin Panthers (Packwood, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 3. Keota will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 2-1 record after their 2-1 non-league win over WACO (Wayland, IA).
