In their next game, the Trojans face the JW North Huskies (Riverside, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, September 2. Hillcrest will attempt to improve on its 2-6 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 2-8 record after their 26-0 non-league loss to Patriot (Jurupa Valley, CA).

The Lions (1-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Moreno Valley (Moreno Valley, CA). The Vikings enter the non-league game with a 4-4 record. In their last game, Moreno Valley held off Norte Vista (Riverside, CA), 7-0, in a non-league game.
