In Tuesday's league outing, the visiting Smithville Smithies soccer squad scored a tight 4-1 win over the Rittman Indians.
The Smithies (1-2) will now prepare for their outing against Chippewa (Doylestown, OH). The Chipps enter the Wayne County test with a 1-1 record. In their last test, Chippewa by Ashland (Ashland, OH), 1-0, in a non-league test.
The Indians now sport a 0-2 record. They take the field next when they host Northwestern for a Wayne County test on Thursday, August 28. Rittman will clash with a Huskies team coming off a 1-0 league win over Hillsdale (Jeromesville, OH). The Huskies record now stands at 1-3.
