Fans at Tuesday's non-league contest between the Smoky Mountain Mustangs (Sylva, NC) and the host East Henderson Eagles (East Flat Rock, NC), observed Smoky Mountain's volleyball team hold off East Henderson by a tally of 2-1.

The Mustangs (2-3) will now prepare for their contest against Tuscola (Waynesville, NC). The Mountaineers enter the contest with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Tuscola was edged by West Henderson (Hendersonville, NC), 2-0, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now own a 0-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Henderson for a non-league test on Thursday, August 28. East Henderson will face a Falcons squad coming off a 2-1 non-league win over Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 7-0.
