The West Wilkes Blackhawks edged the host Wilkes Central Eagles volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league outing.
The Blackhawks now possess a 2-2 record. They play next when they travel to East Wilkes for a non-league outing on Thursday, August 28. West Wilkes will play a Cardinals team coming off a 2-1 non-league win over North Wilkes (Hays, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 1-1.
With the loss, Wilkes Central drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Avery County (Newland, NC) to play the Vikings in a non-league outing on Wednesday, August 27. The Vikings come into the outing with a record of 3-1. Avery County won 2-1 in their recent non-league outing against West Wilkes (Millers Creek, NC)
