The Montour Spartans (McKees Rocks, PA) soccer edged the visiting Blackhawk Cougars (Beaver Falls, PA), 1-0 in Tuesday's non-league contest.

Next, the Spartans battle the Baldwin Highlanders (Pittsburgh, PA) in a contest, on Thursday, August 28. Montour will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Highlanders enter the contest with a 0-1 record after their 7-2 league loss to Moon Area (Moon Township, PA).
