In Tuesday's league test, the Cherokee Bluff Bears (Flowery Branch, GA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Jefferson Dragons (Jefferson, GA), by a tally of 9-1.
Next, the Bears meet the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes (Monroe, GA) in a 3A Region 8 test, on Thursday, August 28. Cherokee Bluff will attempt to advance on its 4-1 season record. The Purple Hurricanes go into the test with a 8-2 record after their 17-0 league win over West Hall (Oakwood, GA).
The Dragons (9-1) will now prepare for their test against Oconee County (Watkinsville, GA). The Warriors go into the 3A Region 8 outing with a 1-6 record. In their last outing, Oconee County was routed by East Hall (Gainesville, GA), 11-10, in a league outing.
