The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA) and the host Commerce Tigers (Commerce, GA), observed Elbert County's softball team notch a victory over Commerce by a score of 11-2.

With the triumph, Elbert County improves its record to 6-2 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Hart County (Hartwell, GA) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Wednesday, August 27. The Bulldogs enter the game with a record of 4-5. Hart County lost 8-0 in their recent league game against Prince Avenue Christian (Athens, GA)

The Tigers now hold a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Banks County for a 1A D-I Region 8 game on Thursday, August 28. Commerce will face a Leopards squad coming off a 5-2 league win over Providence Christian Academy (Lilburn, GA). The Leopards record now stands at 10-1.
