Georgia High School Softball - Luella bounces Douglass

August 26, 2025: Luella, GA 30248

In Tuesday's league match, the host Luella Lions softball team scored a nice 21-3 victory over the Douglass Astros.

The Lions (4-1) will now prepare for their match against Jackson (Jackson, GA). The Red Devils go into the non-league match with a 5-2 record. In their last game, Jackson topped Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA), 10-1, in a non-league game.

The Astros now hold a 3-5 record. They play next when they travel to North Clayton for a 3A Region 5 game on Thursday, August 28. Douglass will play a Eagles squad coming off a 1-0 league loss to Mt. Zion (Jonesboro, GA). The Eagles record now stands at 0-1.
