The Flowery Branch Falcons overwhelmed the host Lanier Longhorns softball squad by a count of 9-3 in Tuesday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Falcons meet the Madison County Red Raiders (Danielsville, GA) in a 4A Region 8 challenge, on Thursday, August 28. Flowery Branch will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Red Raiders go into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 8-0 league loss to Eastside (Covington, GA).

The Longhorns (3-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Seckinger (Buford, GA). The Jaguars go into the 5A Region 7 challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, Seckinger was routed by Cherokee Bluff (Flowery Branch, GA), 9-8, in a non-league challenge.
