The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Metter Tigers (Metter, GA) and the visiting Jenkins County War Eagles (Millen, GA), observed Metter's softball team get by Jenkins County by a tally of 7-1.

The Tigers (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Effingham County (Springfield, GA). The Rebels go into the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Effingham County nudged Glynn Academy (Brunswick, GA), 6-2, in a non-league contest.

The War Eagles now hold a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Emanuel County Institute for a 1A D-II Region 3 contest on Thursday, August 28. Jenkins County will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 17-0 league win over Claxton (Claxton, GA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 9-2.
