In Tuesday's non-league test, the West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA) softball squad got by the visiting Perry Panthers (Perry, GA), by a margin of 1-0.

The Raiders now sport a 6-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hephzibah for a 3A Region 4 outing on Thursday, August 28. West Laurens will encounter a Rebels team coming off a 16-1 non-league loss to Burke County (Waynesboro, GA). The Rebels record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Perry moves to 2-5 on the season. The Panthers host West Laurens (Dexter, GA) to clash with the Raiders in a non-league test on Wednesday, September 3.
