In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the host Appomattox County Raiders volleyball squad scored a 3-0 win over the Amherst County Lancers.

Next up, the Raiders face the Buckingham Knights (Buckingham, VA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, August 28. Appomattox County will attempt to upgrade on its 1-0 season record.

With the loss, Amherst County drops to 0-1 on the campaign. The Lancers host Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA) to play the Phoenix in a non-league outing on Thursday, August 28. The Phoenix come into the outing with a record of 0-1. Mecklenburg County lost 3-0 in their recent non-league outing against Amelia County (Amelia Court House, VA)
