Tennessee High School Volleyball - Powell can't get by Anderson County

The Anderson County Mavericks held off the host Powell Panthers volleyball team by a margin of 3-2 in Tuesday's league outing.

The Mavericks now sport a 2-4 record. They take the field next when they host Halls for a AAA District 3 game on Thursday, August 28. Anderson County will confront a Red Devils squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Oak Ridge (Oak Ridge, TN). The Red Devils record now stands at 4-6.

The Panthers (3-2) will now prepare for their game against Clinton (Clinton, TN). The Dragons enter the AAA District 3 game with a 4-4 record. In their last game, Clinton held off Campbell County (Jacksboro, TN), 3-0, in a league game.
