North Carolina High School Volleyball - Anson over Mount Pleasant

Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) and the visiting Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC), observed Anson's volleyball squad achieve victory over Mount Pleasant by a score of 3-0.

With the win, Anson improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Bearcats travel to South Stanly (Norwood, NC) to face the Rowdy Rebel Bulls in a non-league test on Wednesday, August 27. The Rowdy Rebel Bulls go into the test with a record of 2-5. South Stanly lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against West Stanly (Oakboro, NC)

The Tigers now own a 2-6 record. They play next when they travel to Monroe for a Rocky River 4A/5A challenge on Thursday, August 28. Mount Pleasant will meet a Redhawks team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Union Academy (Monroe, NC). The Redhawks record now stands at 0-6.
