In Tuesday's league challenge, the host Big Bay de Noc Black Bears volleyball team scored a 3-1 triumph over the Mid Peninsula Wolverines.
The Black Bears (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Superior Central (Eben Junction, MI). The Cougars come into the non-league challenge with a 0-0 record. In their last test, Superior Central Gwinn (Gwinn, MI), 0-0, in a non-league test.
The Wolverines now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host North Central for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 2. Mid Peninsula will face a Jets squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Carney-Nadeau (Carney, MI). The Jets record now stands at 0-1.
