The North Penn girls’ varsity volleyball team improved to 2-0 with a dominant home opener win over Central Bucks East in three straight sets. After CB East opened with serve, the Knights quickly took control. Sophomore Holland Van Ooyen sparked an early run from the service line, while juniors Maya Mikulski and Sofie Potrusilova set the tone with a big block as NP took set one, 25-18. In set two, senior setter and captain Belle Mikulski delivered six aces and 13 straight serves to power a 25-8 rout. CB East battled early in set three, but senior captain Madlen Potrusilova (5 kills) and junior captain Maya Mikulski (4 kills, 80% efficiency) sealed a 25-20 win. North Penn’s defense, blocking, and aggressive serving carried them to a sweep in just an hour. Both varsity and JV secured wins, giving the Knights a perfect 2-0 start to the season.
