The crowd at Tuesday's non-league test between the Pell City Panthers (Pell City, AL) and the visiting Clay-Chalkville Cougars (Pinson, AL), witnessed Pell City's volleyball team overcome Clay-Chalkville by a tally of 2-0.

The Panthers (3-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Mortimer Jordan (Kimberly, AL). The Blue Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 7-3 record. In their last challenge, Mortimer Jordan was beaten by Northside (Northport, AL), 2-1, in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Cougars meet the Gardendale Rockets (Gardendale, AL) in a 6A Area 11 challenge, on Thursday, August 28. Clay-Chalkville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
