The Houston Hilltoppers volleyball team (Houston, MS), was beaten 3-0 in Tuesday's non-league contest with the host Shannon Red Raiders (Shannon, MS)

The Red Raiders (2-6) will now prepare for their contest against Amory (Amory, MS). The Panthers enter the Class 4A Region 2 contest with a 2-6 record. In their last contest, Amory was beaten by Mooreville (Mooreville, MS), 3-0, in a non-league contest.

Next, the Hilltoppers meet the Itawamba Agricultural Indians (Fulton, MS) in a Class 4A Region 2 contest, on Thursday, August 28. Houston will attempt to improve on its 0-8 season record. The Indians go into the battle with a 9-7 record after their 3-1 non-league loss to Belmont (Belmont, MS).
