The Lamar County Trojans edged the host Jasper County Hurricanes volleyball squad by a final score of 2-1 in Tuesday's league game.

Next up, the Trojans confront the West Laurens Raiders (Dexter, GA) in a non-league game, on Thursday, August 28. Lamar County will attempt to advance on its 6-1 season record. The Raiders go into the game with a 3-12 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Veterans (Kathleen, GA).

The Hurricanes (5-4) will now prepare for their game against Locust Grove (Locust Grove, GA). The Wildcats go into the non-league game with a 6-4 record. In their last game, Locust Grove was nudged by Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA), 2-1, in a non-league outing.
