Virginia High School Volleyball - New Covenant tips Jefferson Forest

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league battle between the New Covenant Gryphons (Lynchburg, VA) and the host Jefferson Forest Cavaliers (Forest, VA), saw New Covenant's volleyball squad nudge Jefferson Forest by a count of 3-2.

The Gryphons (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Lynchburg HomeSchool (Lynchburg, VA). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 0-2 record. In their last contest, Lynchburg HomeSchool was tipped by Southwest Virginia Academy (Roanoke, VA), 3-2, in a league contest.

Next, the Cavaliers battle the Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, August 28. Jefferson Forest will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the battle with a 0-1 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Pulaski County (Dublin, VA).
