With the win, Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy improves its record to 5-2 on the season. The Gryphons host Mountain Island Charter (Mt. Holly, NC) to face the Raptors in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A challenge on Thursday, August 28. The Raptors come into the challenge with a record of 6-4. Mountain Island Charter won 3-0 in their recent league challenge against Carolina International (Concord, NC)

Next, the Dragons meet the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots (Gastonia, NC) in a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A challenge, on Thursday, August 28. NCSSM: Morganton will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Patriots come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 3-0 league win over Bonnie Cone Leadership Academy (Huntersville, NC).
