Althoff Catholic Crusaders (Belleville, IL) fans were thrilled Saturday as they observed their soccer team hold off the visiting Columbia Eagles (Columbia, IL), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Crusaders face the Centralia Orphans (Centralia, IL) in a South Seven challenge, on Thursday, September 1. Althoff Catholic will attempt to better on its 2-1 season record.

The Eagles now have a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Mascoutah for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, August 31.
