The Hot Springs Bison volleyball team (Hot Springs, SD), was nudged 2-1 in Saturday's non-league challenge with the host Newell Irrigators (Newell, SD)

The Irrigators (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Harding County (Buffalo, SD). The Ranchers enter the B Region 8 challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Harding County was nudged by Timber Lake (Timber Lake, SD), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Bison meet the Lead-Deadwood Golddiggers (Lead, SD) in a A Region 8 challenge, on Tuesday, August 30. Hot Springs will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Golddiggers enter the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 2-0 non-league win over Todd County (Mission, SD).
